Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP), also called Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura, is a blood-clotting disorder that can lead to easy or excessive bruising and bleeding. ITP reseults from unusually low levels of Platelets - the cells that help your blood clot.

Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura affects both children and adults. Children often develop idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpur after a viral infection and usually recover fully without treatment. In adults, however, the disorder is often chronic.

The Heamatologist at Tauranga Hospital wants to know how many of us, that went to Mururoa in 1973, are suffering from ITP.

Please get in touch with me by email asap if you are suffering from ITP. This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
