Henare will be running a workshop for all those interested in making application to the Veteran Affairs for your disability and veterans pensions. Make sure you have your service records and medical records as well as an application to the veteran affairs. You can contact them on 0800 553 003 Hamilton. It is vitally important that you bring with you this information, to help your self. To give something to chew on... with the disability and the veterans pension comes to some reasonably serious money per fortnight plus travel and you can still work. REMEMBER- Dont be shy about the money, its yours and there's plenty of it put away by the government for you, if you dont use it, some other department will swallow it up.
If you dont already know about our organization RIMPAC, we will talk about that too. RIMPAC is not about taking members from the RSA as being bantered around, its an organization formed by Trevor Humphries (ex Stoker) of Wanganui, now run by Tony Cox, to get things stoking, an organization I'm most proud to be a member of, You do your thang and they do their thang for you at the panel for your application. A part where the RSA did not focus on at all.
Those who are in receipt of their pensions, dont be shy too, I'll be able to help you get more money, if you have 2 or more disabilities that grossly affects your quality of life your in the money
These are the recommended motels that are in the vicinity of the RSA and downtown Napier.

Also please spread the word about our reunion to others. The reunion committee intend to have a joyous weekend with plenty of activities as Hawkes Bay is famous for.
List of activities is here. Just a brief update, registrations are slowly coming in albeit past the cut off date, but allowed for late rego's. There have been 2 interested in some of the activities, golf and the Art decco tour so other activities have not been arranged as we need to know numbers for costs, none the less, the Tourist information center is close by and has transport running to all of the Hawkes Bay tourist spots. Tour packs will be available on registration night.
Programme of events 28/04/2008 10.14 Kb I have updated the program of events for the weekend, apart from the the Saturday night dinner there will be a cost of $13.50 for a smorgasbord lunch on Sunday on completion of the service, to lay a wreath to the fallen.
